For The Love of Couples ~ Jason and Kendra
I love couples photography sessions. I smile from the time we start the session, through the editing process all the way to the time I post the pictures in my client’s proofing gallery. I don’t think I’ve laughed as hard or as much as I did at Jason and Kendra’s engagement session last week. They are an incredible couple with a great story of how they met. We spent around three hours together for their session and the joy and love they had for each other just oozed off of them the entire time. They were total troopers too, sunrise session, braving fields with giant mosquitoes, riding their tandem bike in the grass, hanging out with us until Treat cupcakes opened, seriously, they’re awesome. Prepare yourself for a lot of images…
They also allowed me to check an item off my photographer bucket list, engagement session with a tandem bike (aka bicycle built for two). Next stop, shoot a wedding in a vineyard (here’s to dreams right?).
I’m like a kid in a candy shop when I pick out flowers for my photo sessions. It is quite possible that sunflowers are my favorite, they photograph so beautifully and they’re so happy. Bonus, they get to brighten up my house after the session.
When I met up with Jason and Kendra at Starbucks, Kendra told me that her mom had asked if she was going to do “the photo”. It turns out both her parents and brother have the same photo of them sitting on a fallen tree. I told her I’d do my best to make it happen. It turned out that just behind where we set up our little picnic, two trees had fallen (thank you Houston drought).
Kendra, I highly considered stealing your boots.
This is one of my favorite photos from the session.
After our woods excursion we headed over to Treat! cupcakes in Vintage Park. Many thanks to them for letting us take over their adorable shop for a moment to take some photos! (and for making delicious cupcakes)
After cupcakes we took just a few more photos which ended up being my absolute favorites. Remember how I mentioned the oozing of love, yeah these photos are all about it.
And that’s Jason and Kendra. Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your lives, even if it was just for a few hours. You’re both wonderful!
OH, and if you’re interested you can view their fusion video on our Facebook page!
